AVID ACSR Certification for Mac, Windows and Unity

ACSR program participants are trained and certified on the knowledge and skills necessary to perform installations, upgrades, diagnostics, troubleshooting and supporting in a workgroup production or broadcast environment. This multi-certification program is designed to ensure the highest level of technical proficiency and provide a deeper comprehension of the capabilities of Avid products.

 
The certification courses for each platfrom are:

Macintosh System Support (MA400)
Windows System Support (WN400)
Unity MediaNetwork System Support (UN402)

 
Application Process:

1. Students must first be accepted in to the ACSR program by application.
    
2. To begin the process, please complete Avid's application form on the Avid.com web site or contact the Avid Educational Services Coordinator at (978) 275-2071.
    
3. Once you receive your confirmation email from Avid's Educational Services Coordinator, please forward that email to Moviola's Education Center at edu[at]moviola.com and we will contact you to enroll you in the appropriate course.

4. ETP candidates are required to arrange for their company to pay a $1500 co-pay for each 400/402-level course.

 
Prerequisites:

Macintosh (MA400) Prerequisites – Completion of a Macintosh introductory course or equivalent experience and a working knowledge of Macintosh Operation System 7.5.2 or later. Extensive Macintosh background including technical and operational hands-on experience. Requires completion the 101, 110 and 201 classes or equivalent experience.

Windows (WN400) Prerequisites – Completion of a Windows introductory course or equivalent experience and a working knowledge of Windows Operation System. Extensive Windows background including technical and operational hands-on experience. Requires completion the 101, 110 and 201 classes or equivalent experience.

Unity (UN402) Prerequisites – Students must have ACSR|Macintosh and/or ACSR|Windows active status.

 
Certification Process:

• Upon successful completion of the ACSR 400/402 level course, ACSR candidates are required to pass certification examinations.
• Exams are included as part of the Moviola certification and recertification classes and are administered at Moviola on the final day of class.

The cost of each certification (400/402-level) course is $2750.00. (ETP candidates are required to arrange for their company to pay a $1500 co-pay for each 400/402-level course.)
 

AVID ACSR Recertification for Mac, Windows and Unity
 
The recertification courses for each platform are:

Macintosh System Support (MA410)
Windows System Support (WN410)
Unity MediaNetwork System Support (UN412)

Application Process:

• You must be an active ACSR to re-certify.
• Students with certifications that have expired for over one year are required to attend the full 400 level course and are not eligible for the recertification course.
• To register for a re-certification class, please contact the Moviola Education Center via email or call us at (323) 467-1116.
