Apple Test

What to have with you when you attend an Apple Test:

    • Apple ID and Password

    • Apple Tech I.D. Number

    • If you have taken an Apple test before, be sure to bring your ProMetric ID and password

Please familiarize yourself with the information below:

    • Moviola offers an Apple Test Day once a month.

    • Testing is available for becoming an Apple Certified Pro for most Level 1 certifications and a select number of Level 2 certifications
   
    • Moviola offers two times to take the test during the Apple Test Day: 9am or 2pm.
   
    • The test is taken online and the test results are provided immediately upon completion.
   
    • The test is a timed, closed-book exam lasting 90 minutes.
   
    • Because it is a timed test, individuals who are late will need to reschedule.
   
    • Moviola students are provided any one free test of your choosing for each Apple Certified class attended.

            Introduction to Final Cut Pro (FC101)
            Final Cut Pro - Level 2 (FC300 and FC320)
            Final Cut Pro for Avid Editors (FC250)
            DVD Studio Pro - Level 1 (DV101)
            DVD Studio Pro - Level 2 (DV301)
            Motion - Level 1 (MO101)
            Motion - Level 2 (MO201)
            Soundtrack Pro - Level 1 (SP101)
            Apple Color - Level 1 (AC101)
            Final Cut Pro - Motion Graphics and Effects (FC500)

    • To take advantage of the free exam, the test must be taken within 6 months of a class.
   
    • The test fee is $150 for those who have not taken a class at Moviola.
   
    • If an individual does not pass the test on their first attempt, there is a $150 fee to retest.
   
    • The tests are highly reliant upon information covered in the Apple Pro Training Series books. A thorough study of the books, along with information learned in class, is highly recommended to optimize the likelihood of passing the test.
